UNDERSTATED ART

Lately I have been wandering both the cyberspace and literal halls of the design world in search of a new piece of art that moves me. That inspires me. That makes me stop, and ponder.

I think I may have found it.

The catalyst for this piece was a newsprint article discussing the epic sinking of the once great Titanic and the doomed fate of so many of its passengers.

It’s rather heartbreaking and poetic in the same moment. Death was imminent, but made softer by beautiful music.

(Print designed by Austin Kleon, titled Overheard on the Titanic)
