{A simple afternoon spread at work brightened the day}
This week was about catching up with life after a busy weekend out of town, attending the opening of my new favorite store and falling in love over and over again with all of our inspired product for fall. Lovelies, we are all going to be adorable as the breeze turns blustery and it is finally time to whip out the scarves and sweaters. I can’t wait!

{I received an invitation to my niece’s first birthday party in the mail several weeks ago. It has stayed tacked to my kitchen wall where I can look at it and smile because I love the fact that my dear sister writes in beautiful cursive. It is a lost art in this electronic, type-focused day and age. I hope she never stops.}

{It’s true, I caved and purchased a Nook. Or rather, my boy did and left it on the counter for me as a surprise on one of the many days we missed each other this week. He heading in for a night shift just as I finished my day at the office. But let me be clear: I will always prefer my stories in page form. The heft, the smell, the sound of a novel is something that can never be replaced. Pages that turn and sigh as I sit on the couch, lost in words, late into the evening. But as my last read was hefty at over 500 pages, I realized it might be time to temporarily swing with the e-reader groupies. And isn’t my Jonathan Adler case adorable? I feel so special when I pull it out on the subway.}
Have a perfect weekend! xoxo
